About Sling Puck Madness
Sling Puck Madness is a digital version of the wooden sling-puck table game, sometimes sold as fast sling puck or "slingshot hockey". A table is split in two by a wall with a narrow gap in the middle. Each player has pucks on their side and an elastic band behind them; you pull a puck back against the band and let go to fire it through the gap.
The game has two modes. In Classic, the first player to clear every puck from their own side wins, just like the table version. In Race, the aim is to get all five of your pucks across to the other side, but your opponent's shots can knock yours back.
You can play against a computer opponent on Easy, Medium or Hard, or play a friend on the same device. In two-player mode the board rotates 180 degrees each turn so both players always shoot from the bottom of the screen.
How to play Sling Puck Madness
- Choose vs CPU or 2 Player, pick Classic or Race, and set the CPU difficulty if you are playing solo.
- On your turn, tap or click one of the pucks on your side to select it.
- Drag back to pull the elastic, then release to sling the puck toward the gap in the centre wall.
- Pucks bounce off the walls and can knock other pucks around, including your opponent's.
- Keep shooting until one side wins according to the mode: an empty side in Classic, or all five pucks across in Race.

Tips and strategy
- Pucks that are already lined up with the gap are the easiest shots. Take those first when you need a quick lead.
- A shallow angle into the side wall can bank a puck through the gap when the straight line is blocked.
- Don't pull back to full power every time. A medium pull is often more accurate and less likely to rebound back to your side.
- In Race mode, a puck resting right beside the gap on your opponent's side is a target. Knocking it back costs them a whole shot.
- Turn on Show Trajectory in Settings while you learn how the angles work, then try without it.
Frequently asked questions
How hard is the CPU?
There are three levels. Easy makes plenty of mistakes, Medium is a fair match, and Hard aims very accurately.
Can two people play on one phone?
Yes. In 2 Player mode the board flips each turn so you can pass the device back and forth.
What's the difference between Classic and Race?
Classic: clear your own side first. Race: get all five of your pucks onto the opponent's side first.
